Graham Smith
Graham is the founder of Smith's Hockey Skills. He began his coaching career in professional figure skating before coaching for 24 years with the Strathcona Minor Hockey Association. His accomplishments include 15 zone championships, 6 provincial championships, and the development of 41 players drafted to the WHL, 15 of whom were selected in the first round. Additionally, 13 of his players were drafted to the NHL, with 2 chosen in the first round. |
Darcy Smith
Darcy Smith had a diverse and accomplished hockey career, playing five years in the WHL with the Seattle Thunderbirds, Medicine Hat Tigers, and Kamloops Blazers. He went on to compete at the professional level, spending three seasons in the CHL with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, as well as making appearances in the IHL, ECHL, and BRHL. He also played for the University of Alberta Golden Bears, further expanding his experience in the game. Primarily a defenseman, Darcy was known for his physical style of play and his ability to contribute across multiple teams in both junior and professional leagues. With extensive professional-level experience, he brings a deep understanding of the game, strategy, and player development. |
Nathan Smith
Nathan Smith was selected 23rd overall in the first round of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks. He played in the National Hockey League with the Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Minnesota Wild, bringing years of professional experience to his career. In addition to his time in the NHL, Nathan also played in the WHL and AHL, further deepening his knowledge of the game. With a wealth of professional hockey experience, Nathan primarily works with Smith’s Hockey Skills elite-level and high-performance groups, helping players develop their skills and elevate their game. Raina Marion
Raina began her hockey journey with the Strathcona Warriors and completed her playing career as a defenseman with the Sherwood Park Kings U18AA Fury. She has contributed as a junior assistant coach for the U11 Fusion Female Hockey Association, sharing her knowledge and passion for the game with young athletes. With over 10 years of training under Smith’s Hockey Skills, Raina has developed advanced technical skating and hockey skills. She specializes in working with female groups, helping to mentor and develop the next generation of players. |
